Is it Bad to Hold the Shift Knob While Driving?

Holding the shift knob while driving is essential when operating a manual-transmission vehicle. It is used to change gears by manually moving the knob in different positions.

However, it may not be necessary if you’re driving an automatic transmission car. In fact, it may be unsafe. Here are a few reasons why it’s not recommended to hold the shift knob when driving an AT car:
